Caprese Chicken

Ahh…this has been a good day.  I didn’t have work because I was gone all weekend long and my company is thoughtful enough to give us a recovery day after we return home from a busy (but always enjoyable) event weekend.

I spent the day either thinking about food, making food, or buying food.  Ok, so I did a few other things besides eat – laid out at the pool, stopped by the farmer’s market, visited the record store (where I spent way too much money on beautiful music), chatted with my parents, and I’m about to have dinner with an old friend who is in town.  I also got the sweetest surprise in the mail from my Australian blog friend, Cheray! It’s been a joy getting to know her over blogging and one day I hope to pay her a little visit.  She sent me these adorable key covers:

It made my day!! My house key now has a cupcake with an eye patch.  Hehe! Love it.

At the farmer’s market, I picked up some yummy goodness so I could make the latest recipe that caught my eye from Baked Bree.  I love her little cooking blog!  I decided to go with Caprese Chicken for today.  Click on the link to see the recipe then make it yourself because it’s delicious!!  Fresh basil, chicken, a huge ball of mozzarella cheese…what’s not to love?

Mmm!! I could eat this by itself all day long.  My goodness I really am obsessed with food but I just can’t help it.  Ok, gotta run!! Byeeeee!
