Cleveland, OH (plus a kilt or two)

My dad would describe my current state like this:
“I’m plumb wore out!!”
This weekend, the Women of Faith tour was in Cleveland, OH which meant I was also in Cleveland.  Oh goodness, the fall weather was perfect and the downtown area was beautiful.  I leave a piece of my soul in every city I visit.  I can’t help it.  There are so many wonderful things to explore and never enough time to see everything.

Well…I checked into our downtown hotel and what did I do?  Jumped into my comfie bed and ordered room service.  Duh.

{veggie omelette, french friends, spring mix salad…so good I cried}

The remainder of the weekend was a blur.  On Friday, I went with Lisa W. to an interview on Fox 8 News.  That’s always fun for me though it makes the days super long!  All of us are going nonstop from about 8 am – 10:30 pm.  Whew.

{I snapped a pic of the studio while they were doing the live interview but my computer hates it and won’t let it upload so this is where you use your imagination.  Oh, look how lovely the studio was.  Moving on.}

I enjoy being super busy and running from the hotel to the arena, from backstage to the main concourse, from one end of downtown to another, from the Coldstone booth in the arena to the rice crispy treats in catering…

{yum – enough said}

After working all day we often explore at night.  The nights in Cleveland were gorgeous and so perfect.  I wish a picture could convey feelings of how amazing it was.

I flew back on Sunday (today).  Earlier today during breakfast with my friend Lauren, I noticed we were surrounded by kilts! They were everywhere at the airport.  So…I took pictures.

{a hug from a man in a kilt means it’s going to be a good day}

But wait!! There were more!

{kilt sighting #2}

And now I’m safe and sound on my comfie couch in my dear little apartment (that I love).  Of course, there were plenty of other undocumented great moments from the weekend.  If you want to know, just ask and I’ll give you the scoop.  *wink*

For now, I’m out!  I have to be rested up for my day off tomorrow.  Hehe.  Oh it will be spent at the p-o-o-l, baby.  Summer is quickly moving away and I have to soak it up while I can.

    Did you call the french fries “friends” on purpose? That’s cute!

    Fun times! I’m glad you get to catch your breath tomorrow, though. 🙂

    Also, I enjoy how you keep your sense of wonder for every place you visit. It’s a good way to live!

    Awesome pics! My alma mater for opening ceremonies and convocation had bag pipes and kilts. at first it was weird but then again, how many universities have that for freshmen opening ceremonies and graduation!?!
