I promised a couple of friends some cookies but wasn’t sure which kind to make. It seems that I’m always making some type of sugary treat because it’s so fun and even better when you give them away. Ok so I totally snagged a few before sending them off because they were DELICIOUS! Naturally, I wanted to share them with you!
Behold….
Hot Chocolate Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies (found here)
Ingredients:
– 2 sticks salted butter/ at room temperature
– 1 cup white granulated sugar
– 2/3 cups packed light brown sugar
– 2 whole large eggs
– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla (my favorite PART)
– 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
-4 packages (1 oz. packets, NOT sugar-free) hot chocolate mix
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 cup of white chocolate, milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation Instrucions:
– Heat oven to 350 degrees.
– Cream butter and sugars until smooth.
– Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
– In a separate bowl, combine flour, hot chocolate mix, salt and baking soda.
– Add to wet ingredients in 3 to 4 parts, making sure all is incorporated.
– Fold in chips.
– Chill the dough for an hour or so.
– Use a 1/4 cup as a scoop to scoop dough onto a greased baking sheet.
– Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
– Let cool for 5 minutes then EAT THOSE SUCKERS!!!
They’re yummy and chocolatey and delicious PLUS made with hot cocoa. It’s a win win win as far as I’m concerned. Eat them underneath your Christmas tree because it better still be up!! It’s still cold out!!
adios!

Ha ha … I think I used up all my sleeplessness in my 20s. Though I do stay up rather late often. 🙂

They were SO YUMMY! May be a bit sweet for you though. However, you could your use homemade hot cocoa!

Sounds yummy Laura! Just took my Christmas tree down yesterday!
Just one question about recipe. You listed “1 cup of white chocolate, milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips”. Is that 1 cup total or 1 cup each of 3 types of chips?
Have a blessed evening.
Love and hugs. 🙂 Psalm 23

Please say 1 cup total!

Ha! The recipe called for three different cups but I only used one of semi-sweet so I wouldn’t end up in a sugar coma!

Yay!! Glad you’re going to try them!! It’s supposed to be 1 cup of each 3 types of chips but I only used 1 cup of semi-sweet b/c otherwise that’s way too much chocolate for even me. 🙂

Thanks for the info Laura. Guess you could use 1/3 cup of each type just for mix of flavors. Hope to try it soon.
Love and hugs 🙂
