Where I’ve Been…

January 24, 2012

{taken on the ferry in Seattle, WA}

More like where haven’t I been?! This past month has been an absolute whirlwind!
Here it is in a nutshell-

-I got offered a job to do Girl’s Ministry at a church in Broken Arrow, OK and I jumped on it.  (More on that later.  There is a lot to share!)
-After five great years, I quit my job at Women of Faith a week before Christmas.
-I spent the past month couch surfing across the country to some of my favorite places.
-I had a great deal of adventures that I’ll share in the next few days.
-I packed up and said goodbye to the life I’ve had in Texas for 30 years.
-My wonderful family moved me to Oklahoma last weekend.
-I’ve been blown away with the kindness of the people here in my new town and I am beyond thrilled about it.
-I start my new job on Sunday!!

So, I apologize for my disappearance but I blame it on being without internet for part of the time, packing and unpacking part of the time and having one of the best months of my entire life for the remainder of it.  The Lord has been gracious.  2012 has already proven to be fantastic.  Can’t wait to share it with you.

Merry Christmas

I’m home for the holidays! Wishing you a magic filled Christmas! I’m thankful for the One who came so long ago to give us hope. Merry Christmas!

There are so many wonderful things to be thankful for.
Here are a few at the top of my list:
-a wonderful and supportive family
-friends that aren’t afraid of deep conversation and authenticity
-a God who never ever gives up on me
-relationships with people I love all over the world and across the USofA
-the crazy cats in my internet community (twitter, instagram, blogging, facebook)
-magic (it’s real, ya know?)
-music, music and more pretty music
-the ability to see in color
-waterfalls, mountains, clouds, flowers and sunsets
-pretty dresses
-good health for me and my family
-a j.o.b
-dreams to pursue and the nervous feeling that accompanies the pursuit
-dirty hippies
-good hair days
-cute boys in flannel
-handwritten notes in my mailbox
-chilly mornings and the process of making coffee
-books with extremely marked up pages
-giggling (lots and lots of giggling)

What are YOU thankful for?

Oh, hello there!

July 31, 2011

There’s been a lot happening around here.  More than usual.  Like what, you ask?

Well, I was in the ER two weeks ago and literally thought I was going to die.  (I can be a little dramatic sometimes but I was pretty freaked out this time….for real.)  Then I spent the next week hopping to a few doctors trying to figure out what was wrong.

This week, I turned the big 3-0!! Crazy right?  Yea, I look 12 but that’s part of the fun of telling people how old I am.  I was flooded with love from family and friends and my love tank is over flowing with gratitude.  I mean, if you’re into cheesy sayings like love tank.  Which I happen to be, clearly.  I’m moved to tears when I think about all of the people God has placed in my life that show love to me.

I also spent a few days at the ECHO Conference in Dallas.  Loved it! Surrounded with fellow lovers of social media, blogs and geeky things.

Like I mentioned above, I have a lot to catch up on but before that I’ll share a few photos from the ECHO Smilebooth.  Too much fun, really.  Don’t put me in front of a camera or I will FREAK OUT I tell ya.  FREAK out.

Houston, TX ya’ll!

April 15, 2011

I’ll be in Houston, TX with the family (and the pretty niece) all weekend long.  My little cousin is getting married so on another plane I go.  Yep, Texas is so huge that we need an airplane to get from one side to the other.

Through pride the devil became the devil. Pride leads to every vice, it’s
the complete anti-God state of mind.

Here’s to watching our pride be lifted & taken away like balloons released into the sky.  We can’t afford to hold on, keeping pride close.

Cute Baby Alert!!

March 15, 2011

Annalise Marie Tang is already two weeks old!  And my what a beautiful little babe she is.  I’m a proud aunt for sure.

Happy two weeks, little angel face!

I finally got to meet her this past weekend.  Babies are so funny and CUTE.  All we did was stare at her for 24 hours straight and nobody seemed to mind one bit.
